Our Supplies Wishlist
- Dry adult cat and kitten food - preferred store brands include Whiskas, Purina Indoor Cat and Friskies (these brands have little or no food colouring added, for less digestive upset). Food purchased at pet stores or vet clinics are usually free of dyes or food colouring and are a welcome addition to our cupboards too!
- Canned kitten food and canned food for adult cats
- At present, thanks to our generous supporters, our dog food cupboard is well stocked including treats.
- TD or Dental Diet to maintain dental health of our foster animals (Available at local vet clinics)
- Cans of A/D and Recovery Diet for sick and recovering animals in care (Available at the local vet clinics)
- Canned and dry C/D cat food for cats in foster care with bladder health issues. (Available at vet clinics)
- Revolution for flea prevention (Available at local vet clinics)
- Pill Pockets for administering pills to cats. (Available at the local vet)
- Wood pellets—Eastern Embers—used for cat litter (Available at Price Chopper and most Home Hardware stores)
- Non-clumping and clumping clay cat litter
- Postage stamps for mailing letters
- New or gently used cat carriers
- Large cat litter pans; with and without covers
- Bleach, Bleach, Bleach-We can never have too much!
- Dryer sheets and HE (high efficiency) laundry detergent.
- Paper towels, disposable rubber gloves (size small), recycling (blue) bags and clear garbage bags
- Rubbing alcohol
- Bath mats and toilet seat covers - these make cosy spots for our cats to curl up on and are easy to wash
- Cozy polar fleece blankets and throws

Bottles for Babies
Help us feed the little kittens who need milk replacement formula, kitten food and other specialized care to grow up to be healthy cats. Donate your recyclable bottles to CAPS. For pick-up or drop-off information call 825-CAPS (825-2277)
Kuranda Beds for dogs and now for cats too!
Our dogs and cats love to sleep on Kuranda beds, but we don't have enough for everyone.
If you would like to donate a bed so that one more of our companions in care may sleep in comfort, please check out Kuranda's Donate-a-bed program. What a wonderful gift for a stray or abandoned animal, used to sleeping on the cold ground!
Cleaning Your Closets?
Donate to CAPS! We always need Crib sheets, crib sized bedding and light weight, washable twin sized bedding. We'd love to have them, and also any gently-used cat and dog supplies you no longer need. The animals love soft fleece to sleep on, keep us in mind next time you go the fabric store.

Whiskas Collect and Get Offer
Whiskas Pet Food Company is once again offering its "Collect and Get" offer. Here is an easy way to help CAPS!. All you need to do is collect the UPC labels off the bags of Whiskas Dry Cat Food. When we have collected 5 labels of the same size bags of cat food, we can get a coupon for a free bag! How easy was that? When you have collected your labels, you can drop them off at the Greenwood Animal Hospital, Middleton Veterinary Service, or mail them to CAPS at PO Box 363 Middleton NS B0S 1P0. Memorial Donations
Wondering how to remember a dear friend, family member or pet who has passed away? Consider making a donation in their memory to CAPS. A card will be sent upon request, if you include the name and mailing address of the recipient.
What a lovely way to honour a loved one, knowing that your thoughtfulness is giving a homeless or abandoned animal a second chance at a happy and safe life.
To make a memorial donation, contact us at info@caps-annapolis.org or at 902-825-2277 or inquire at any funeral home in Annapolis County.
Grandad's Legacy
A fund has been set up to accept donations in Grandad's name. Grandad came to CAPS in it's opening year and was adopted by Anna and Alfie. All money donated will go to CAPS to help the homeless and abandoned animals in it's care.
Stumped for a birthday gift?
Why not make a donation to CAPS in their name? What a fabulous gift to receive – to know they've made a difference in the life of a homeless or abandoned animal! Attractive cards are available and income tax receipts are issued for all amounts over $15. Remember to include the name and mailing address of the recipient!
Income Tax Receipts are issued for all monetary donations over $15.00. Please note: for proper documentation reasons, we require the donor's complete address, including both mailing and civic address.
CAPS collects Canadian Tire money!
Clean out your glove box, kitchen drawers and coat pockets. Those $.05 bills may not seem like a lot to you, but to us they mean litter boxes, leashes, collars and other necessities. Drop your Canadian Tire money into our donation banks at local vets and area businesses or mail it to:
